Dr. Arlene Black Mollo was an art education professor at Umass Dartmouth. Her teaching style was quirky, whimsical, irreverent – and serious. She passed away recently; I hope that she continues to practice and teach her passion, watercolor, to those souls in the heavenly realms! 

These definitions are drawn from my lecture notes. These terms are used so interchangeably that their definitions can be confusing. She offered these definitions to clear any confusion.
