I developed this lesson, From Lead to Thread: The Stitched Drawing, while apprentice teaching. 

My mentor’s work and teaching were grounded in observational drawing and painting. Rooted in fiber arts, I sought to bridge the gap between the two and chose to do so using hand quilting.
